Hi Mo .. great that the needles are OK.
Iam thinking along the lines that magnets in the rotor may be slightly weak so I would connect the yellow and white wires permanently. However, dig out one of those Kawasaki voltage regulators out and I will tell you how to connect it. This will mean that if you did generate excess charge then the regulator would 'current dump' it to ground and wouldn't overcharge your battery. How does it read if you have the dipped beam on too? Worth checking 63

Misc / Open / Re: EBay listing spam« on: March 19, 2024, 11:58:29 AM »Ebay is good at these issues. When searching for CB400F spares on Ebay I often see bits for the 1990 CB400F NC27 among the offerings, some people are bound to end up with the wrong thing. The guy from Hull Bertrams Bike Bits does that when he has sold out of something but expecting getting some more ... just puts a ridiculous price on the item. Totally confusing. 66

On Yahoo Japan auctions it's done all of the time Steve (no eBay in Japan) . They seem to just list every model from the same era. So if it's a CB72 part they will list CB92,CB72, CB160. CB175 etc and it's totally confusing plus they list everything as 'junk' even though a part is in super condition visually. I guess to protect their honour if there is a cock-up in the listing or a buyer claims it is not as described. Not sure why a Yam 2-stroke would be described as a 500 4 though?

Did you have the red lead in the 10A socket on your meter Mo ? and the meter switched to 10A DC range? This should give you normal power into the electrical circuits and also a means of measuring the current drawn. DO NOT operate the electric starter though ! Only kickstart the bike 73

It folded after six issues due to lack of sales I can't find reference to that magazine anywhere Dave. Do you still have a copy? |
