If it was built by a Sherman, it probably is!
Johnny, I wouldn’t fancy kicking that over, would you?
Proper ankle snapper

I think I would be happy watching somebody else try Roo!
What about fuel? Would you get it out of the end of the drive before it ran dry? 🤨

Wheres the integral fan?

Seems there are quite a few anyone recognize the lady in leathers.

My late father would have remarked that they are a triumph of engineering over common sense.

Don’t really see the point if I’m honest. Great engineering but unridable dust catchers really!
Bragging rights build really.

It's the wife. She is such an exhibitionist.

Didn't know you were married to Carine Roitfeld :)

Never told me she changed her name. You never know what they get up to.

Neither did she.

I hope they used the radial version, not the rotary.

Maybe this one is laid back enough to risk? Its called the Red Baron, it has aWW1 aircraft engine of the kind sometimes fitted to the Sopwith Camel. Read all about it! https://www.cnet.com/culture/motorcycle-with-airplane-engine-makes-a-roaring-racket/

Watching this video of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hirsRnytTkU&t=8s&ab_channel=MOTORRAD (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hirsRnytTkU&t=8s&ab_channel=MOTORRAD) it is even more lunatic than I thought. How can that be any fun to ride?
Yes, I understand people want to engineer these things but.... Plus the turning circle and no lower cylinder protection....Each an to their own!
-
Just wondering....are these things ULEZ compliant? :o

That's a modern Rotec radial engine, not an original WW1 Rotary engine. They were Clerget or Bentley engines originally. Rotary engines rotate around the crank when running which creates a lot of torque reaction. That made aircraft fitted with them very tricky to fly, they would turn very quickly one way (helped by the torque) but were a bastard to turn the other way. There's no way I would try and ride a bike with that lot spinning in front of my crown jewels!
A challenge for Mr Millyard I think? 😂

I stand corrected on the finer details, I must do my homework better! ;D
-
I just imagined the handlebars staying still whilst everything else, rider included, spin round! ..one for a cartoon..
-
The reason the whole engine spun was to assist cooling in relatively low -powered engines where weight was an issue and water cooling added more weight than was wanted. Sticking all the cylinders at the very front, rather than inline, means they all get the same airflow, spinning them adds to that even further.
NB - the Red Barons original engine is in Duxford Air Museum, alongside a full- sized replica of his red triplane , which is tiny.

The chap astride the bike looks a tad apprehensive ;D ;D ;D.

Yes Ted i think an over blip on the throttle could spin you into next week.

Perhaps engine braking is all he needs?😁

more like a parachute or an anchor on a bit of chain to drop when you need to ;D
