As the title says, "Simple Paint Question " from a simple man!
As my tank and panels are away to get spruced up I am going to smarten up the engine and crankcase covers. I have looked through the forum and noticed that the general consensus for engine paint is Simonize VHT31D, which I am going to use, however, is it the Matt paint or the Gloss paint?, it's hard to tell what's on just now as looks like a satinish finish.
I would rather ask the simple question than make a howling mess of it.
Cheers

SIMVHT31D is a semi gloss finish.

E-bay seem to show both under the same paint code one has a part green label the other is part yellow.

They changed the packaging Ted. Both are the same paint inside.

Interesting my green label does not describe the finish but the yellow label says MATT.
If I am honest I used both on my 400 engine - the first green label tin was more like satin or semi Matt. I thought the yellow label was definitely Matt?

Thanks for that, it was the label thing that was confusing me, I could see the yellow one said Matt but thought the green/blue one may be Gloss.
Now unconfussed, much appreciated!

No, definitely both the same paint finish Ted.

Perhaps I did not rattle the can enough then.

Very possible Ted. Another forum member had matt paint coming out until he rattled the can properly.
