As the title says, classic vehicles, cars and bikez , in the common. Free entry - but they are collecting for lots of great charities. Last year there were about 900 vehicles. It's HUGE..
This year, it's due to be about 30 degrees in Wednesday. Not sure what time it all kicks off - mid/late afternoon and it goes on through the evening.
Too late to book in now, but park somewhere nearby and go and enjoy the huge array of vehicles.

These are great pics Ash and bring back happy memories for me too. A relative of mine, Nev Waters worked for some time in the parts department of Jordan’s which was right on the top floor. Heck, they had some stuff! I bought a plexiglas head gasket for a KM24 Gold Star from him in the mid 60’s for an engine I got for £5 dismantled in a hessian sack. My Dad bought a new gold Canterbury Venom sidecar, colour matched to our plunger BSA Golden Flash from them in Storey St. That store became Grattans catalogue shop and offices. Nev went on to manage ‘Sellit and Soon’ in East Hull - a secondhand emporium of mostly crap that they sold on your behalf for commission.
I love the fact that the early Jordan’s pic has used different colour capital letters which makes it look like ‘Ull - which is how most folk know it!

Sellit and Soon doesn't sell crap - at least not the one in Beverley! It's still going strong there having moved from the old swimming baths, to Old Walkergate. If you are in the market for an ornamental china horse pulling a wagon full of beer barrels, or an unwantd video player, then that's the place!

I use carbs from a GPz600 on mine and it runs OK with those and four separate air filters. I seem to remember there were a couple of different heads / inlet ports spacing when I was investigating. As it was built up from a box of parts I didn't ever have the orginals so I'm not sure of specs for those. I don't have a link to the info I used at the time, but it's somewhere on the US SOHC website - they have a lot more cb650 stuff / interest on there. ..and I just searched 'gpz carbs on cb650' in google and it brought up a few threads and youtube videos that could help. I love the look of the the black 750 - it sort of reminds me of the Harley in Black Rain ... (sorry, I know I'm not making any friends here!)...
