Mine does have the captive bolts at the front to catch plastic inner guard and rear frame cross member.

I thought it was uk because I have a uk K3 and it has three holes for rear lights and number plate mount.

Looks very much to me like a uk 550k3 rear mudguard. (may fit other models)

Is this bike giving birth to the brass section of an orchestra? Hate it! Each to their own.

I had a similar problem with my 25 year old belstaff boots. Gorilla glue was my saviour, seems to have stuck well! What? What? 😂😂  I like them! I will find myself a new pair of course.

I have a noisy speedo, also a bit jittery. It’s not going to go away so I will remove and send off in the winter. Any recommendations for someone to repair?

Very satisfying to do yourself. My introduction to wheel building was a bicycle maintenance book. So I trued up an old buckled bicycle wheel using an old front forks upturned and stuck in the vice. I now have a cheapo wheel balancing jig/stand modified to true wheels in. Each to their own but I still prefer the brightness of the chrome rims compared to Stainless, but defo stainless spokes.

Hi, Just had a good run on the K3 apart from losing the trim off one side of my tank, only to find it run over several times on the return journey. That aside I stated previously that I thought that I was at 60mph at 4000rpm and that is exactly what my clocks are telling me. I will check my sprockets and see what they are, but I have no way of telling if the clocks are accurate.

That is interesting on the proper gearing numbers. I didn’t get out on the bike yesterday not weather in the morning so decided to fit new fork seal that seemed to be leaking. (Can’t believe somebody put the one seal upside down) ooops!🤭🤫!   I am now starting to doubt myself with mph/rpm, wouldn’t be the very first time I have been wrong.😂

I haven’t had the speedo or tachometer calibrated or refurbished other than new faces and painted, so cannot confirm accuracy. It maybe slightly above 4000 at 60mph. I will check tomorrow if the weather is kind.

Just had a look at mine it looks like 36 rear. So the least teeth on the rear the faster for same engine rpm?
