Other Bikes / Why do I never ever learn?
« on: December 21, 2009, 10:51:10 PM »
Finally got the collection down to 2, having convinced myself I couldnt give the time on the upkeep of more bikes than that. So why do I find myself the proud owner of another lost cause/money pit and a 2 stroke at that? Is there no cure? (It was a bargain though!) ;D

Other Bikes / what about the 250s/350s/360s?
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:07:46 PM »
I know this will make me appear particularly sad, but the site's title is SOHC not Honda 4 ;D. I have just bought a CL360 engine as the basis or a classic off roader because I want to replace my BSA B40 (I have never really got to grips with imperial thread and spanner sizes, or indeed the Exxon Valdez size oil slicks that appear under the bike :-[) )And as usual I am starting with a box of bits and know nothing about this model, does anybody else on the forum own one of these more desirable SOHC twins  ;) whos brain I can pick? And any interest in having a "twins" section?

cheers

New Member Introductions / latest Newbie
« on: January 02, 2009, 06:20:09 PM »
Hello Everybody, I have just signed up and thought I better introduce myself, although this is my third attempt with the technology so I may end up with multiple introductions. My name is Brian (aka Gripperod), aged 46, married with 2 teenage kids, living in the North West of England, no hair left, no money left etc etc....the usual. I have just finished building my SOHC Honda which took the best part of 6 years, finished it in May but still ironing out the bugs. Its not standard but in mitigation to any traditionalists it was built from bits and no complete bike was injured during the making of this........... I also ride a 955i Daytona and a BSA B40 in trials trim which I keep to ride in the Beamish Trial once a year. Hopefully there will be a picture of the Honda attached on this attempt. Cheers, Gripperod
