In this day and age of facebook and other platforms it is good to see a busy old style forum.
My name is Bob. I live in central Scotland. I have just bought two bikes as part of my treat from my pension. One being a Yamaha 900 tracer.
But the other, and the reason for being here, is a 1978 Honda CB 550k4. It just got delivered 26/9/17 and I love it.

Welcome to the forum Bob, I bet there's nothing needing doing to it except riding and enjoying.

Welcome Bob nice bike and nice roads in your neck of the woods. Nic to see your not wasting any of your pension. 👍

Officially K4 never came to UK only US but looks nice, remember to ride it very regularly or those carbs will drive you nuts

Welcome Bob. I have the exact same model sitting on blocks in my garage causing me all sorts of problems. See "Bent fork tubes". Wish I'd got one like yours, it would have probably been cheaper.
1978 last of the line.

I believe it started its life in Canada.

Hello and welcome from (sunny this afternoon) Orkney,
That's a lovely looking machine and I love anything with a pipe for each cylinder - I have a 4 pipe 350/4 and a couple of 400/4's - which, although lovely bikes, just don't look 'finished' when viewed from the wrong side.
Might catch up sometime,
Ian
