Well it's no surprise that the second sprocket was unsuitable.

The 400 shares the same hub and dampers so I thought the 400 sprocket pegs might be slightly different and offer a solution. Lots on eBay for around £10 a set so at that price I thought I'd give them a try. Unfortunately these are incorrect as well. Although the flange fits in the sprocket recess correctly the pin diameter is 9mm instead of 12mm - the photo shows it much better than my explanation.
I may have to cut the flanges on the original pegs to suit.

Today I've been repairing/replacing wires, removing quick splice connectors and crimping some new connectors to the idiot light assembly and gauge lights. Most of the quick splice connectors are shown in the stripdown photo below.

Fitted new bulbs all round and checked the lighting circuits were ok. No unexpected problems but I can see it will need some care to connect everything neatly in the headlight shell come the time.

The seat is in reasonably good condition but the chrome effect trim was poor. I was surprised to find that it's part of the cover and not removable. So I've carefully rubbed it down, and after masking, sprayed it with aluminium effect enamel. It's come out better than I expected and I'll apply a coat of lacquer next week.

I woke up knackered this morning so I've not done any actual work as such on the bike - just bimbling about.
I had a small surge of guilt/energy at tea time so decided the big box from Delkevic needs to be evicted from the rear lounge.

I walked the box by standing it on end out of the lounge through the hall - into the kitchen out though the conservatory fighting two little Chihuahua helpers through the last two door onto the back yard to my waiting sack trolley.

I have unpacked the various packs of fittings, one pair of pipes is in the Polystyrene box on the freezer, one is on the floor next to the bike ramp.

Brackets are labeled L/T, R/T - L/B, R/B
I assume that left top & left bottom silencers other for the right side.
I can't see any markings on the silencers themselves such as 1,2,3 & 4.
I hope the boxed pairs are for each respective side.

Some instructions would have been helpful - that's me done for today.
I now need to look seriously for the first pipe & bracket to fit having referance to the previous posts on this subject.
I've spotted one silencer has a square rubber bit - to cushion the stand methinks - left side lower silencer then.

This might help you a bit. I fitted the the 2.5 mm thick 90 hardness rings after reading this and they've been fine

Thanks, interestingly the download parts book shows an R clip at the hub end & a split pin at the frame end!

That's so you can quickly disconnect the hub end to remove wheel. No need to disturb the frame end.

The light green/ red needs to find its way into the headlight bucket and plug into the gauge feed wires. It travels from the switch under the left side cover. Terminating at the bulb@ the neutral light.

Thanks Bryan, I can see that brown wire now on the UK wiring diagram, makes sense even to me.
