My Triumph is a nightmare without the paddock stand because the dip stick is so low down and you have to screw it in all the way to get a reading.

My Honda's are the only bikes I own with a main stand and I love it but I still use a front stand when messing around with the front end.I use front and rear paddock stands on the other bike for all most all servicing and cleaning it's amazing how much you miss when the bike leans to the left. With out them even minor things like checking the chain and oil level is a pain in the ass.

John you've got me interested in buying the mag now this post was turning in to a load of old farts moaning about a couple of squid. :D I've just read what I posted and I sound like my Dad. :o These old Honda's are turning me old before my time.I find myself lusting after a Velocette 350 Mac Why would I be interested in that it's 30 years older than I am.
But I do like to see cb750's on the front cover it winds up Kwaka fans  ;D
I won't pick holes Neil non standard bikes show they are used and have history

O yeah you just reminded me I changed my springs as they were about 10mm shorter then the min recommended length and that was what sorted it on the 750.Sorry I wasted your last half hour :-[ The top cap is now a pig to put in and it takes your eye out now when it's undone
It was my Triumph that was knocking because they were twisted.I seem to have a memory of a goldfish lately  ::)

Hi Ian I had the same thing with my 750 sounds like your forks are in slightly twisted.Slacken everything don't forget the front mudguard and spindle.Do up the top yoke and then rock the bike back and forth with the front brake on and then do everything up again.
