Thanks all.

This was the condition i found mine in. Looks like it has been played with over the years and is now a bit tatty to say the least. I might be better off redoing it completely.

Thanks again for the help

Thanks andrew.

Thats helpful. Can i ask, do the cables sit tucked in under the tank when its on or do they sit visibly under the base of the tank if you get my meaning?

Thanks again

Hi all,

Having some problems getting the fuel tank back on without disturbing wiring. I have checked my connections and remade some that were weak / worn. There does seem to be an abundance of wiring next to the left hand ignition coil that makes it very tight under the tank. Has anyone got any pictures of their loom in this area so i can see if it is appropriately routed or any other useful advice?

Thanks in advance,

Hi beyanj,

Originally there was power. I (stupidly) couldnt wait for a new battery to arrive! So i connected the +\_ to my car.

Now i have put new battery in and there is nothing. The ‘dash’ lights dont come on when i turn the ignition. Cant even jump start it.

?

Thanks

Thanks kevski.

So i looked behind the side panel and there is a bank of five fuses in a box. Some fuses are missing but it started ok before the jump start. Is there one particular fuse to look for or is it likely that everything is fried?

😭

Hi there,

Can anyone help? I made the rookie mistake of jump starting my 1978 F1 from a running car! Now when i turn the ignition key there is no lights on or power anywhere. I only just bought this bike and it ran fine before this.

Can anyone tell me where to start? I read it may be the main fuse? Where is it located?

Thanks
