Title: Tank badge removal
Post by: Redders33 on June 30, 2020, 07:30:30 AM
I’m thinking on painting my tank on my 750 f I haven’t had a good look at the badges but has anyone got any pointers before I try? Got a feeling they will be pretty stuck.

Not sure about the 750 but on my 350 there are two pins on the back of the badge which fit into spring clips in a bracket on the tank.

I used nylon fishing line slid behind the badge to ease it out of the clips.

I gently levered mine off my F1 tank they are held in place with a “ retaining clip” part number 87311-634-600 David Silvers have no stock but available on Fleabay at silly cost, guy that painted my tank used a strong double sided tape to put mine back on

yup...spring clip fasteners.

I bought a set a few weeks back when I was getting some other odds and ends from DSS....seems like it was a good job I did!
