Tricks & Tips / Re: Fork oil Height

Let me get this right...

You slightly overfill the fork leg and then pump out to the required depth (120cm in your example) ?

Kevin: post some pictures and a link to your site. There's quite a few 400 owners on here that may not have seen your stuff.

Pete: Quality vs Quantity mate...   ;)

This was mine.

The front mudguard was signed by Phil Read

Sold to Phil Cronin. I think he was from Norwich. Here he is on the day he collected it.

I've used DS for years.

If you call them (instead of ordering on line), you'll find that they really know their stuff and can recommend parts from other models that fit...

I use Avon Roadrunners AM20 and AM21. They look just like the Roadrunners we used in the 70's but are made of modern compounds.

Hi Steve and welcome.

I love the PRRs (we had one on our site for sale a while back) www.nirvana-motorcycles.com

I'm interested in any memories and anecdotes that you may have of Phil. I run his website (www.philread.org) and see him fairly often. He lives down Canterbury way now though.

Where are you?  If you are local, I'm sure we could arrange a "Christening" for your bike when it is finished - give you something to work towards!

What plastics did you make for him? Any of the bikes in the gallery on the site?

He's off to South Africa for 3 weeks next week (lucky fellow) - a round of classic race and parade events.

I agree on the future classic thing. Buy now while you can.

A good (gold) K2 will cost you
