I plain bought one of these very pretty aftermarket items for my CB400F2. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292633661096However at least in my case I found the tie rod, that bar between the joint and lever was too long and I needed to use the one from my original, so don't throw away!

I ended up going to the Bike Shed event in Shadwell on a ride around basis, due to my days commitments getting in the way I couldn't go proper. Does the CB750F belong to anyone here in the first photo?
I don't know what the second photo is of, some amazing steam punk thing Jules Verne would have looked at home on!

Thanks for the input guys. I thought I had bought a wrong set of new dials for my F2, and the ones on now a wrong replacement by someone down the line, or worse the speedo off a different bike. But it is clear I'm ok after all!

Ash, I'm not sure if you are answering the answer before or the thread question. I'm coming across images of F2s with both options, what to think? Is it really a worry that the face plates I bought for my F2 some years ago have MPH only, which is what I have now, but I've rooted out a number of home made and ill fitting parts on this bike!

That would be the F model as opposed to the F2?

Just took a look at the part on CMSL ( why you not do this before I hear someone say ) It seems they start out as BZP, I can see myself stripping the paint and polishing things up, and then finding out why they end up being painted?
