I've had a few off him in the last few weeks, hard to tell the difference from the OE tbh, spot on and highly recommended.

I've used RS several times over the years through resto's of several LC's, Ducati 853, GT550 and my current VFR VTEC and their matches have been spot on although a bit dear but you pay for what you get and I cant fault the matches in the slightest. Best to speak to them than email but a good bunch and well worth a chat with.

I’m currently dealing with a very, very stubborn float bowl drain screw that shows no signs of yielding despite the use of heat, penetrating fluid and a custom screwdriver fashioned to fit the slot full depth and width. There has to be a way? Put your screwdriver on the screw apply pressure but don't gorilla it or it will just distort and knacker. With a small hammer or heavy 'ish' screwdriver, ( I have a 4oz machinists hammer). whilst providing said pressure just tap the end of the driver repeatedly, (not hard and ) and try to keep tapping for a couple of minutes. It'll come, if it doesn't just repeat. Sometimes they give up easily, sometimes it may take a couple of goes but it worked a treat for me on pretty much every welded shut screw and bolt on mine. Im not saying beat the granny out of it but a constant percussive force no matter how weak will dislodge it in the end. 'Penetrating oil a go go' I hasten to add............. 3382

CB350/400 / Re: Orange paint codes« on: October 07, 2021, 10:40:49 AM »There’s another gold very similar to candy gold custom called candy starlight gold, it’s slightly lighter in shade. I’ve had both colours and whilst I really really like candy gold custom I prefer candy starlight gold as it has smaller metallic flakes in the finish. The candy gold was a 500k1 colour and the candy starlight is a 500k0 colour. I knew this woud happen I'll go check it out Ken, cheers buddy 3387

Thanks all, that's great.
I didn't know there was such a difference between the two, my preference being the candy custom gold one as I never was a fan of huge metal flake. I know how hard it is to put on well and what can be achieved but it always just shouts VW beach buggy/dodgem paintwork and just doesn't flick the proverbial switch. It was Julie's that did it when I saw it a while ago and forgot who's it was. I'll scout the code and get cracking on some options. Thanks all. 3389

I wasn't aware, mine's parked n/s against the garage wall covered in 'gubbins' and fishing tackle, I'd never noticed and assumed it was the same set up as the 400. Nice one Bryan. Need a gear change pedal then
