Sounds familier I sold my newish 750K2 in 1972 to put a deposit down on a house and bought a CD175 as my day to day transport.

I heard about Evaporust on here (Ted) and tried it out, and it worked a treat most impressive.

Used some on my daughters bathroom (wet room) ceiling and walls, and it does work though it's horrible to apply.

Great photos, fascinating stuff, as a long time Mosquito admirer once I heard about the project I signed up for the newsletter to keep up with the progress, it will be great to have an airworthy Mosquito in the UK again.

As the bike was completely stripped it was easier for me to fit the frame to the engine when I rebuilt my CB750, the grandson helped me. Cheers Dennis

Sounds like you have really had it tough, a really horrible time of it, so go out and get a bike and enjoy it.

Well took the Honda out for a spin, it went great however I did not, I have recently been diagnosed with Carpal tunnel syndrome by a physio and have been woken up at night with pains in my hands, pins and needles and a burning sensation in my hands. I thought nothing of it but after about a mile on the bike my throttle hand was really painful so much so that I had to return home, after the physios referal I got in touch with my doctors who have managed to find me an appoinment for June so hopefully I can get something sorted.

Not easy to make out but this is the weld area now, it was done in 2006, I think that they did other repairs but I can't remember where on the frame they were. Before image Cheers Dennis

Yes the rear shock mount looks a bit iffy, but blasting will reveal the full extent, I was lucky that the place I used for the powder coating are were very motorcycle orientated and did a great job of inspecting and repairs. Elite engineering and powder coating Liverpool.

The front frame photo looks a bit like my 750F1, I was horrified whern I found it just before I took the frame to be powder coated, but it was weld repaired no problem and I have had no problems with it. Looking for a photo of the repaired frame but failing at the moment, if not I will take one of the bike now. Looks like the frame was blasted and then welded prior to coating. Cheers Dennis
