Hi Having had exactly the same issue as you here is my advice..
1) Use only OEM Head Gasket and O rings. I had bad experience with the DSS aftermarket set
2) Once the head is off I would recommend getting it skimmed to ensure it is flat. Shoul not cost a huge amount at a reputable machine shop (mine was £30 if I recall)
3) Read the manual Ash recommends and take your time especially with refitting the cam cover and cam chain etc to make sure you get valve timing right.

Does anyone have any experience with UV resins for repairing plastic parts. I usually resort to reaching for the Superglue but seen some outrageous claims for this UV stuff. Seems to me that only really good for transparent materials as otherwise the UV will only cure the bond edges
Any other recommendations for high strength plastic repairs?

I bought an Electrex reg/rect a while ago and am just thinking of getting to fit it
The plug and play connector it came with won’t work as my bike is an early K0 with the round pins.
May be a stupid question but does it matter which way round the 3 yellow wires connect from the alt to the reg/rect unit?

Fitted m Gerben set of refurb carbs today, all synced up and my bike is running better than it ever has.

Hi all Gauges are now at work but sadly I have been ill with really shitty illness and just feeling nauseous and shitty most of the time(now 6 weeks in).
blood tests all fine and exploratory ct scan tomorrow. Doc seems a bit stumped so you will have to hang in till new year
