Hi,just took delivery of a 400/4 with a fair bit of expense thrown at it ,but would appreciate if anyone can recommend a workshop near Glasgow/Paisley I could use to get the carburettors set up properly. The have been refurbished & cleaned internally but its needing final adjustments.
The bike is looking tidy but I would like to have the engine & cases vapour blasted ,they have been painted and not very well on close inspection,,cheers peter

Welcome to the forum.
What is the red bike in the photo with the 3 1/2 side badge I can see all the tank badge I can't read the tank badge fully?
-
I think it’s a Moto Morini 350 cc.
-
Moto morini 350sport,,I had this and my original 400/4 together in the 70s..
-
Welcome to the forum Peter and congratulations on owning a Paraket Yellow 400/4 and a Moto Morini 350 Sport, I have exactly the same combination!
-
I'm showing my age I've never hears of Moto Morini but I had a Maico Letta so no excuse really. I like the V layout.
-
Lol you must be a young thing if you haven’t heard of Moto morini,,I lusted after one in the early 70s before buying mine in 1982 to compliment my 400/4.Then sold them both because of my expanding family.
Now I’m retired it was time to turn the clock back,,happy days 😁
-
I was born in 1948 so not young although as I pass each decade my mind feels the same its just my engine and ancillaries that need a Honda style rebuild. lol
I'm guessing the Moto Morini was a tad exclusive back in the day.
-
Not really, had a few through the workshop. 500 used to burn valves from memory, spares were never easy and expensive
-
Not much changed on the spares front I’m afraid,,but get a 350 running well and they are great fun, that’s what it’s all about for me with bikes around 40 years old,,I wouldn’t use one as daily transport ,sunny days only.😁
