Normal, you should set the tockover to about 1150 when HOT and hang the slide when cold
NB THE CHOKE DOES NOT INCREASE THE TICKOVER LIKE ON A CAR

There are 2 different swing arms and adjusters
Early is wider with removable end piece and wider gap adjuster
Later is thinner with closed end and narrower gap adjuster
Has somebody done an incorrect mix-n-match?

(1) are you sure there were no gaskets as they turn to black rock and look like part of the casting (2) i would have thought the earlier split collets would have worked but the only way to find out is try them (3) try www.westernhillshonda.net but do email to see if they have them do not just believe the website ALSO be advised that only Airmail is available from the US now so it can be expensive if parcel is heavy

Sorry mate they were built when men were men!!!
BE CAREFULL
Original Honda cables had Nylon lined outers with a rubberish covered inner and MUST NOT be oiled or the innards swell up and stick. Aftermarket tend not to have the liners and need oiling

Steve, Honda relied on the gauze in the tap as the tanks were new and hadn't had 25 years of dirty petrol in them so it didnt need to stop much crud or rust. I agree the small ones can clog fairly easy but the last batch i had you simply had tor reverse the flow into a can for a short time and it flushed said crap back out

Alternator is not a stand alone(like car) on the 750 it needs battery power to charge, You need to do a full charging/rectifier/regulator check as described in the Honda workshop manual--Not Haynes or Clymers

One word of warning
Do you really want brakes that work so well they lock up in the wet?
I decided from experience and hole in wallet it wasnt that good an idea!!

Thats a K7 then and could have been "old" stock as they didn't sell well, I think the mountings on that one were unique so without much modding you will need a specific aftermarket system, Motad or somesuch but specify it as 77 or you will get the wrong one

F2 wont fit and the 1980 is a twin cam that wont fit either, Depends on the year of your bike as frame mounting points moved
