Title: CB500K0 3/71 JDM Parts Book Scan ... Thanks Bryan !
Post by: AshimotoK0 on March 12, 2019, 02:52:40 PM
Many of us, who have been on here for ages, have heard about Bryan's early March 1971 print date CB500K0 JDM parts book that even has the part number for the little stickers on the side panels etc.

Well he loaned me it yonks ago and I  finally got round to scanning it today. It is so tiny, with some pages fold out, that it would not auto-feed scan but I got there in the end after much head scratching and here is the link to it. OK it's in Japanese but the essential diagrams & part numbers are there.

BIG thank you Bryan for this and all you do for us mate. I will also include in my Dropbox links on here (The 'standard' K0/K1 parts book is in  there too of course).

Don't worry Bryan ... I managed to preserve it pretty well and it should bind back together just fine. I had to scan it sideways (as the width was too short to be accepted by the auto-feed mechanism of the copier) and then rotate each page by 90°, then insert the scans of the folded pages and merge it all together. Worth it though !

Many thanks to both of you. Now we can order a speed warning light  ;). Am I right to assume the file is sufficient to print on paper?

Downloaded for info.
Many thanks to all involved. Sounds like the scanning process was a bit complicated.

I like a good resolution. Too bad at Honda4Fun some documents become unreadable when enlarged.

Hm... strange... that Japanese Parts Lists shows all kinds of stuff that I relate to the first model CB500... but the page with the camshaft depicts only the 4 SHAFT, ROCKER ARM 14451-323-000 where as even the 1976 compiled parts list of my model depicts both the 8 SHAFT, VALVE ROCKER ARM 14451-323-010 up to enginenumber 2170314 as well as the 4 SHAFT, ROCKER ARM 14451-323-020 from enginenumber 2170315 on. Ah, now I see... the early model didn't have those 4 PIN, ROCKER ARM SHAFT COTTER.
