Really simple question guys.
Just refitted the cylinder barrel to my K3, new gaskets and O rings. However its sitting proud of the crankcase by a very small gap (1mm or so). Do I assume this will close up when I bolt the head down?
Thanks.

I've fitted an earlier wheel and brake plate to my K3 and need the 44mm collar to fit the wheel correctly.

So I ordered a 4231-3390-000 from DSS. It's arrived in an already open small Honda parts bag and its 51mm wide. So I'm poorer financially but no better off in sorting my rear axle

Sorry, I know its been asked before but can anyone please confirm that Part No 42313-390-000 is the 44mm wide collar?
Thanks in anticipation.

Two part numbers listed for Collar, Rear, Brake, Panel side, 42313-292-000 and 42313-390-000. Can anyone please confirm which is the wider one?

Took a punt on a 76 brake plate for £15.00 on Ebay and it fits. Realise I may have to adjust the spacers but that's not an issue.

Most obvious external difference is the cooling fins around the drum. New old wheel has 3 high ones and one lower one. Old old wheel also has 4 but all the same size.

Just had a measure. The old old wheel internal hub between spoke flanges as per the photos above is 48.4mm, the new old wheel is 45.5mm. Sprocket side looks identical.

Evening all
The original rear wheel for my 550 K3 was in a fairly shabby condition so I decided the most economical option was to purchase a used rear wheel in very good condition with excellent chrome sold as a CB550 73 - 77. However, now I have come to assemble, the rear brake plate fouls the circumference of the rear brake drum where previously it sat just inside the drum. Comparing the wheels side by side (should have done it sooner) the cooling fin pattern is different. Has anyone experienced this before? I am not sure now what the wheel is from. I guess the easiest solution would be a different brake plate but again not sure which model would be compatible. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Guys, hope everyone is well and sane. Apologies but its the main bearing issue again on my CB550 K3.
The cases are stamped CCBBB.
The only markings I can see on the crank look like Number 1, Capital letter A on each web.
Does the coding signify that I should have Brown, Brown, Green, Green, Green ?
I have five loose bearing halves and five still fitted in the upper crankcase half. I have tried measuring the bearing thickness of the loose shells with a micrometer at each corner and they seem to vary between 1.44 and 1.54 mm but not sure if this dimension is relevant. there is no sign of any colour coding on the shells. They are all stamped DEL-A STD.
Any advice gratefully received.
