Hi gents,
Looking to replace my front brake hoses. Does anyone know if the 750 brake hoses would fit on a 500.
Also would it be possible to replace rocker shafts which come as one per rocker for the later models 550 with one for two rockers, or should I lathe my own.
cheers

Yes and Yes but, the hose comes in different lengths for hi or low bars
-
There are three different rocker spindles
(1) the eight loose
(2) the four loose
(3) the four locked as on late 550's
Not 100% sure but I don't think you can fit the locked ones to any early cover (1) & (2) should interchange

Great good to know. Guess I'll measure my old hose for the length.
As for the spindle seems it's possible to fit the locked type after some modifications. Found this on youtube

So would any of you two gents have four candles...I mean four lockable spindles
Cheers

maybe i could just drill a hole for the screw. Shouldn't affect the structural integrity too much should it? the screw would probably give out before the spindle if something happens.
How much would you want for four of them? Saw your edit
If I were to make my own what material would I use?

Part number is 14451-323-020 if you can find old stock anywhere

at 20 quid +VAT a pop I'll attempt making my own first. Some stainless steel rod should do
