Title: Cb500 550 Kickstart

My CB550K3 was missing a kickstart when i bought it. So I'm looking to buy one.

Would a kickstart from a '73 cb500 be the same as a 550 k3 kickstart?

Not if you have K3 exhausts and not sure on clearance with aftermarket either

I have swapped them aroud between those 2 bikes with abandon, not realising they are any different, same with pattern exhausts, only issue I ever encountred was centrestand stop on exhausts, but I never tried standard exhausts on either bike, just cheap and second hand.

I put K3 exhausts on a US 550 K0 and had to cut and shut the rear brake pedal plus bend the kickstart, didn't realise at the time just how unobtainium K3 exhausts were!!

Thanks for the info, il look at for one from a K3. Il be using an aftermarket exhaust, the motad one that came on the bike was rotten and i didnt like it much anyway.
