The price of new parts is just too much.  Have to keep searching for used Euro spec brackets.

I would remove any powder coating from the inside of the frame where the swingarm contacts it. Do not force it in.  Once installed torque the swingarm bolt and make sure the swingarm pivots easily.

Whilst I admit that I still have the OE exhaust and rear brake pedal, on normal brake adjustment the toe-guard is quite a distance from the exhaust. ??

Something looks a bit off with the mounting point of the exhaust.   Brake pedal could be bent as well.

CB350/400 / CB400F Parts Wanted

I want to convert my 1975 CB400F from US spec turn signals to Euro spec. Looking for the front headlight/turn signal bracket, the rear stalks and the signals themselves.  Probably could use and older set of US signals, but need the Euro brackets.

Cheers

I use a couple of tie downs from the bars to the cross supports in my garage.

Hi Jay
Good to see you posting over this side of the pond 😊😊😊

Yes, I'm posting on both sides.  BTW your post on the CB400F motor rebuild is phenomenal, both for the quality of your work and the time and patience required to document the process.  I'm sure a lot of us have been helped.  Many, many thanks!!!! ;D ;D ;D

CB350/400 / Honda CB400F Upside Down Engine Stand
« on: September 28, 2020, 05:03:35 PM »
To make working on the bottom end of my Honda CB400F easier I cobbled together this engine stand.  I bolt it to the top of the lower end and then turn the whole thing over.  Makes working on it a whole lot easier and safer.  Made from my favorite source of metal, old bed frames. Only drawback is it's very hard to drill through.
