My nephew has just brought me the engine from his CRF250 to strip - scrap!

Opp's. that is a lot of work and parts. I am surprized that it did not brake the nipple off :o
Damage from over revving ;)

That reminds me of Wimbledon speedway years ago when Westlake engines were tuned up to the eyeballs and would go bang down the straight from over reving. Our Captain once went out on the track with a bucket to pick up what was left of his engine!

Not an aceptable bang for piston broke, its still in one piece!

Not as bad as my 2nd bmw, the rod on that came out through the block taking the liner and barrel with it, penetrated a good 2 inches of solid alloy before stopping. Shame I didn't save photos but did sell all the damaged bits appart from the crank. Went some way to paying for a new engine.

You’d probably be able to reassemble it Phil, try a mix of flour and water, sticks like glue!
