I've never seen one of those before, the CD175 and 185 yes, but not a 250.  Were they an official UK model?

Yes, made only for UK, Australia and the Philippines market. Only came in blue in UK but available in silver for the other markets. They are Graham's all time favorite bike ever, we have 3 of them and sold 1 last year.

Great bikes no one appreciated them at the time and many were killed in the hands of Dispatch riders.
I knew I made a mistake selling mine the second the new owner sat on it and rode off.

Very nice bikes especially the Ash 1968 picture. I can't remember them from the day but apparently they were a Japanese only model.

Very nice bikes especially the Ash 1968 picture. I can't remember them from the day but apparently they were a Japanese only model.

The CD model was JDM only and had painted mudguards and a TYPE 2 engine (360 degree crank) plus CB72 style silencers. I am converting one of my 1969K0's to a JDM CB250 Super Sport model. I got the parts book from Japan and I have every parts that was specific to the JDM model. The pictured one is in the Honda Museum in Japan and the super cool advert is from 1968. The speedo  and tachometer are combined just like the CB72 & Bomber. I just bought one NOS in Japan via my good buddy Chris Jeavons there (he's a 'Brummie' with a Japanese wife). Bit of a labour of love this project. The paintwork is like the one in the museum ... black metallic (dark grey really). The UK CD175A sloper was available in the exact same colour)

Ash, that black and chrome style of bike is the best ever for me. I have a lovely CB77 and recently sold a long term Bomber.

They are going up in price  :o I bought one early this year with 11,800 miles in the same condition for half that price but, the guy I bought that off had paid £2000 for it 12 years previously  ;)

I paid £500 with loads of spares. From memory it had less then 8000 miles on the clock and the origanal tyres still on it. Sold it for just under £1000 with around 13000 miles and the spares for £200.
I wish I could remember the reg

Will it be used is a good question. Still cheaper than a new Honda C125 and more reliable  :o
All mine get at least 1500 miles put on them every year minimum and the one I have in Greece has 56000 on it now and I bought that with 36 miles on it from new.

I think it would be a fair bet it never sees 56000 miles.  :)

I'm pretty sure this bike is back for sale in this months Classic Bike! I saw an add for a 1981 CBX1000 for sale with a genuine 139 miles on it & stored in a hallway since 1991. Price was £3999!!!! When I called the number the guy selling it told me CB had messed the advert up and the bike isn't a CBX1000 but a Honda CD250u. The mileage is a genuine 139 miles and the price is £3999. Adding 2+2 together I reckon this is the bike that sold on ebay for £3025.
For those of you that missed it now is your chance to buy it!
