Post by: Crispy on February 27, 2018, 07:39:09 AM
I'm thinking I should get an engine stand before I start to dismantle my K1 motor ...any recommendations folks?

There is a member that makes very nice engine stands, can't remember his name at the moment  ;)

Trig makes them, I sell them  ::) ::)

They are £25 + £6.95 postage. I can post some pics if you like but there are some on the forum somewhere. Lots of forum members use our ones, no complaints so far.

I endorse this product and/or service.

Also it fits my Black Bomber engine too, I don’t know if this is intelligent design or coincidence.

Well that's the engine stand sorted..thanks! .....might as well ask another question...are there any of the special Honda tools that I will not be able to manage without or will I need them all ? Don't really want to make do and damage things!

They don't need to be Honda tools but, you will need a fly wheel puller, clutch nut tool, a good torque wrench. Then it depends on if you are replacing valve guides, re grinding seats and so on  ;)

Thanks Trigger...I'm ok for torque wrenches but that's all..I'll start by getting the fly wheel puller and clutch nut tool and then see what's what with the motor then :)

Pete, If I sat down and typed a list of everything we can do / can provide / can supply, no work would get done !!
The problem is, we don't like using the forum as a form of advertising really, that's not what the forum is for. Lots of members send us PM's asking if we can do work for them or supply parts. We will always reply and help where we can.

You are joking. I have just had a telling off for having the front hub in the oven  >:( >:( as the bearings would not shift.
Tell trigger they fell out so it was worth it 😀😀

If it's Mrs Gledhill's oven, I'm not surprised you got a bollocking. At least Trig has his own oven and my goodness does it get some use !!!.
