Title: CB750 Exhaust studs
Post by: r1_pete on October 10, 2015, 11:18:43 AM
The exhaust studs in my engine had been replaced with bits of threaded bar.

Am I right in thinking the genuine ones reduce in diameter to M6 ?? looking at various pictures they seem to reduce in diameter I'm guessing to give some fitting clearance for the collars.

What engine are we talking about? 750F1 exhaust studs are M8 both ends.

I'm building an F1 and an F2 engine, so if they are m8 at both ends it makes spinning a few up in stainless a lot easier.

Cheers.

F1 and F2 are M8 both ends, but be careful making your own, Honda used rolled threads rather than conventional cut threads as they were much stronger.
