Just thought it was about time I introduced myself to the forum, I have been a member since July 2018 and have been reading the forum whilst getting a CB500K2 that I bought from D&K last year road worthy. I have restored a couple of bikes in the past my last one being a KH250 which has taken 7 years to complete. I have a build log of it online on the KH and S series forum here
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/kawasakikhregister/let-the-madness-begin-t5636.html . I will post pictures of the 500 when I am on my home PC, haven't got access to them at the moment. I have got it to the point where it is now insured, road worthy & registered but the weather is to cold in my opinion to ride at the moment! It has taken a lot of work to get it to this condition and I intend to improve it over the years rather than go for a full nut and bolt restoration.

Welcome Clive. It doesn't matter how long it's taken you to peep above the parapet, you're here now, that all that matters.

Welcome. You know what happens when you stick your head up. Have fun. :)

Thanks Nurse Julie and Moorey for your comments, I will try and keep my head down ;D. the pictures below show the bike I bought from D&K;

Note the absolutely ridiculous handlebars

How it currently is. I will start another post on the 500 page detailing the works carried out and what I hope to do next.

Hi Clive,
And welcome to the forum. Looking forward to your next project. The CB500 was my 1st choice when I returned to bikes 12 years ago, but a CB750 caught my attention.
Thanks for the mention on your last project KH250. Your bought an alternator/points sub-loom from me...alans-electrics.
Lots of knowledgeable people on here to help you along the way.
Alan

Thanks for the responses and warm welcome guys. Alan your looms are great, you will have seen, I made my own for the 250 before you started making them I believe, but I have also bought a loom for my 500 from you of the bay, in case I need one. I believe reliable electrics are essential to a reliable motorcycle.
