Title: Why no fairings on the F1 ?
Post by: Sprunghub on June 28, 2009, 04:38:05 PM
I've read, in a couple of places that Honda recommended that fairings should not be fitted to the F1.  I've even read that there would originally have been a 'transfer' to that effect on the bike. My mate has an F2 with a huge Polaris style "Windjammer" thing on it & I have seen them 'about' with Dunstall style race fairings, & others.

Is it 'science' ? or myth......or best not too ???, just interested from a style perspective.  I'd quite like to fit one really......but wouldn't want to "disrupt" the front end too much, or at all, if I could help it. :-\

Myth.

I've seen loads of them with fairings. When they were new (1977) we all went out and fitted Rickman Type 2s (like the one in my avatar)

Well at least I'd know it's a "fit" !!....which is half the battle buying a generic one.  Have emailed.
