Re bush material, as always I live and learn.
Anyway after overhauling my front brake I can make the tyre squeal which I couldn't before.

Mine (part 365) had reverted to a pile of rust so I made another from some 6mm steel rod.
Very simple to make.

I haven't tried fitting the airbox to the carbs before fitting the assembly to the engine so won't comment on that.

To help get the airbox onto each carb I shove the two centre fittings by pushing from through the air filter housing with my fingers or any other prodding device I have a to hand.

Just googled and found this sky forum.
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Sky-Q/No-signal-with-new-hdmi-cables/m-p/4356343

Suggests the longer the cable the better quality required

Did the 5m cable work before being plastered into the wall?

I think Laverdaroo Dave us referring to the plastic fuel supply tubes when he talks about orings. There is also another thinner tube between each pair of carbs and it’s 2.5 mm id according to the parts book.

Comfy, that bloke (rhymes with Pooh) who's coming over to you on Thursday night has my vacuum gauges so get him to bring them over.
Matt, you are very welcome to borrow them as well.

I did mine recently which was seized solid.
Sprayed with plusgas let overnight.
Clamped in vice and a bit of heat shifted it.
Happy to do it for you but it would probably be cheaper to take to a local garage than post it to me and back.

Roo pointed out that there should be two o-rings, above and below the bracket to help keep out the road crud.
Mine didn't have any which is probably one reason why it was seized.
91259-333-000, DSS and Fowlers have them but at nearly £5 each! plus postage.
Not sure if Julie does them.
Good luck

Don’t know about historic vehicles but all motorcycles and mopeds are exempted in the Glasgow scheme.
In France there’s an uproar as all vehicles made before 1997 are grouped into the top pollution class and will be banned from towns over a certain population size. Worth checking if you are going to be touring on a classic in the future.

You could have a chat with Paul Goff who should be able to sort you out.

As Roo says I'm close, Corsham.
I had similar idling issues with my 400/4 and between Roo and myself we eventually got it sorted.
Very happy to come over and help remove the carbs and get them stripped for you.
Inspection of the brassware and rings should reveal where the problem is.

I've just been through this as I too found the front brake on my 400/4 pretty crap.

Master cylinder kit DSS
Made a new brake lever bush as the original had completely reverted to rust.
Braided brake lines. Wezmoto
Slave cylinder new gasket etc DSS
Pivot was seized so freed up
EBC pads Wemoto
Its much better but still not up to modern standards

Had a good furgle down the stanchions and no spring came to light.
They are pretty clean but will give them a going over with brake cleaner and a brush.
Took a pic with a cheap endoscope camera.
