In order to get my gearing right I am looking for a 15 teeth 530, rather 520 for that matter, sprocket for my replica (K2-K6 engine). Anyone of of a source?
Thanks in advance,
Rob

15 is too small honda dropped the 16 as they considered that caused problems

Thanks Bryan, you're correct but not when you're riding track.

trouble is the diameter of the sprocket is too small for the chain to travel round properly, better to up the number on the rear.
Holes in crankcase are a bugger to fix

Thanks again Bryan, no offence but think it was in relation to the quality of the chains of that era. 15 teeth for a 5/8" pitch is considered not too small by todays standard. Normally I use the 17/48 gearing, but on a circuit like Croix en Ternois in Northern France you will need a short setup. Maybe 15 is small but it is good to have the possibility to use it.

May be worth a look as they offer standard, less 1 tooth and less 2 teeth

Thanks for the link Seamus.

No Offence taken at all, just making the point so that the road riders dint get into trouble!
I agree todays chains are better and at least you can use an "O" ring although on circuit its probably better to use a normal one and change more often.
Years back when younger and foolisher i built and maintained a couple of roadrace bikes for a total nutter to race (i was never light enough to consider it) including a Suzuki GT750 that ended up doing 5mpg and an Egli Kawasaki 900, now that was a gorgeous frame. His favourite was the Kawa 350 triple with a bent frame tho' ----really had to pick your circuits for that one.
I was also mildly involved with Mead and Tomkinson's Nessie when i worked there, that was interesting to say the least.
All the best in your endeavours and keep the dirty side down

I would have gone for a higher quality Renthal front sprocket from B&C Express, but I suppose Wemoto are cheaper...you get what you pay for.

Do not know if Renthal has that 15 teeth 520 for the CB750.
Thanks for the link Yoshi.

Both Renthal & Talon Engineering make specials if the information isn't on their file.
