Title: CB 750F2 Primary chain tensioner
Post by: blackeagles on August 26, 2019, 10:19:44 AM
Any chance the primary chain tensioner can be replaced without splitting the engine i.e. take the oil pan off to give access?? I know you can do this to check the wear on the chain but I was just wondering if the tensioner could be removed this way (I can guess the answer as it prob. similar to the 400f I have just finished)

I am thinking about this as the 'noise' from what I assume is the chain is considerable although I have not yet synced the carbs which reduced this type of noise on the 400F.

I live in hopes.

The engine needs to be split and the chains and tensioner replaced. The Honda spec on the chains is well out  ;) ;)
