Title: Cb550 fork legs into cb750k6 Plus Oil Tank
Post by: Vespajaff on August 31, 2019, 10:28:41 AM
Hi all sorry so many questions I am getting ready for a dry build . I have read a few places that say by fitting 550 legs to the standard bottoms so you can drop the from end so you don’t have the legs sticking through the yokes anyone done this . Also looking for a stainless or alloy square oil tank like carpycaferacers.com do is there anyone on here that makes them before I commission a local company to make one

Ref the oil tank, Meadspeed (made by Bartel Engineering in NI) do a central alloy oil tank but it's a cr750 replica - but it's not a simple bolt on part, you will have to modify the frame plus oil lines plus move battery, etc - see my and cr21's CR build threads. Also, it's about £600!

When you say legs, are you on about stanchions ? The 550 have different length stanchions and different length bottoms also. It depends if they are off a K or F 550  ;)
