Title: Oil seals
Post by: Matt_Harrington on July 25, 2023, 01:05:39 PM
Does one tend to fit R21 or R23 type oil seals (single and double lipped respectively) on engine rebuilds?

For things like crank seals I use the original spec parts.

I used double lipped for my 500 fork seals.

Thanks Ted, in the meantime I worked the prices out for buying the seals separately and the 'specials' from DS - cheaper to buy the seal kit from DS for the lot - so now ordered.

A lot of the seals are "specials" so original is the only way and yes the ds kit is the cheapest way, some are pattern but work ok
