This is the wiring diagram for an Electrex World regulator on a CB 350F. That's as near as I can manage.

We don't have the "paperwork" trouble with the USA or Canada, and I recently purchased from Israel with no trouble, the EU is simply punishing the UK for daring to leave the club, why we bother negotiating with people that take away lorry drivers packed lunches I don't know.

These charges are not new and are not a punishment. They have always been there when trading with countries outside the EU. I have sold items on eBay to non-EU countries (before #@%$) and had to fill in customs declarations in triplicate and other administrative forms.

I was doing an oil change on a Triumph Herald and just as the drain plug came out my arm jammed between the sump and the drain can so I drained an entire sump full of hot oil down the sleeve of my overalls.

I used to use a Gunson Gastester when I had an oilhead BMW and it was a bit fiddly to use but worked well. After a few tries though I found that tuning the idle mixture by ear got me to exactly the same settings as the gastester.

Don't fit it. On my CB350F it caused the brake to bind so I took it out again.

There wasn't enough adjustment to get sufficient clearance with the plastic ring in place.

I like the 'soft' shine. I prefer that to the ultra shiny chrome like finish.

POR15 engine enamel is also good. It has a very high pigment content and is petrol and acid resistant but it needs to be thinned with white spirit and sprayed. It leave brush marks if you brush it on.

Dowty washers are aluminium crush washers with a built in O ring. You can pick them up on eBay. You buy them by ID. Just measure the bolt size.

It's fairly typical of prices in general and certainly not just DSS.

Have a look at car prices, petrol prices, CD's, DVD's. Houses and property. All much much cheaper in North America.

Remember how you could buy a new car in Europe and import it back into the UK and save thousands of pounds?

That's why major international companies refer to the UK as Treasure Island.

Even if RS don't have the colour they can mix it. Currently RS are are matching and mixing a Honda paint colour (Satellite Blue Metallic) that they did not have by using a small fairing panel I sent them.

I contacted 5 or 6 motorcycle paint suppliers. No one even listed the colour and 3 of them suggested that I try RS.

There will always be some sparking at the contact breakers but it it's excessive then it's likely to be the condenser.

I fitted the Boyer system too. The one that uses the OEM coils. Excellent system.

They were made to run on straight mineral 10w-40 motorcycle oil.
