As I intend to refurb my 550f1 carbs 069a ,!I am tempted with offers I've viewed on the auction site thats half the the price of keysters repair kits , can anyone advise me if its worth the gamble if you have used these cheaper kits,

Can anyone give me some advice on an easy way to remove the bank of carbs on a 550 fi , as I know it's very tight between air box & carbs , so is it best to remove air filter etc ( battery etc) so as not to damage the rubbers between air box & carbs.

Hi Guy's , can anyone tell me , is it possible to remove a 550 engine from the frame without removing the sump , I understand removing breather cover would be necessary, also is it easier to lift out from left or right

Can anyone advise on removal and replace new steering lock ,ie - do l drill existing rivet by dremmel / drill out etc ?Also I'm not clear the procedure of fitting lock by means of the rivet ...

Hi folks, I'm a newbie to the forum from mid Somerset (Thatcher country) and to a 1976 550f1 that I have recently bought, Can someone advise me which way to turn the airscrew ( in or out ) to rich en or weeken the mixture on my 069A cabs , much appreciated for your help,
