Title: 350/4 front fork bottom cover removal.
Post by: Gixxer-18 on October 08, 2015, 09:42:37 PM
Hello, I've spent a whole evening looking at all the posts in the 350/400 section for an answer, to no avail. I need to replace the fork oil seals on my 350/4, but can't see how to remove the chromed lower cover from the lower fork leg.
I can see two small spigots and a slot, and some holes. The picture below shows that the cover isn't threaded, so how do I remove the cover, I have heard it's like an eighth turn bayonet fitting, or is it a screwdriver twisted in the slot, or drifted out, and the final option, a C spanner in the hole?
Thanks
Nigel

Same question asked tonight on Honda Twins.net. possibly the same type shroud (i.e tight push fit)

Hi guys. I covered this very thing in Tiny Tims build thread here.   http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,8053.msg55923.html#msg55923   Page 4 I think it was. Good luck.

Mine came off relatively easy the other day with a slight tap
