Indeed I will be Ash. I will be going back on the temporary Nursing and Midwifery Council register that has been set up for us 'recent retirees'. Luckily, they have cut all the red tape and all the extortionate fees which usually tie you up in knots when trying to re register. Those of us that re register will not be called upon until HM Gov declares a ' National State of Emergency'. We will then be offered positions that suit our pre existing skills and what we are Competent and safe to carry out. I better start giving my hands a bloody good scrub with Swafega as they most certainly don't look like Nurses hands any longer 🙂🙂🙂 If the Gov don't call a state of emergency, the register will be closed and we will go back to being retirees. Personally, for what it's worth, I don't think it will come to a State of Emergency but, I could be wrong.

My 61 year old sister is a nurse and has only just become semi retired but now straight back full time and more.... Today knowing all this, she ran a marathon on her own for charity, as a proposed event in a couple of weeks was cancelled due to the virus. She knew she would be full on in the weeks / months to come. Wow.
