Title: 1976 550 supersport TYRES

Hi all
Need new tyres and any recommendations would be gratefully received.

I use Avon's Roadrunner 2

3.25x19 front
4.00x18 rear

The extra size on the rear lifts the bike slightly

Less chance of scraping the stands and foot rests

Good grip, wet and dry

I reas elswhere that Avon is closing but have not verified that, if you want original looking Metzellers or Continentals are both good

Sadly the Melksham factory is shutting at the end of the year, production of motorcycle tyres will continue but in France.

Why the hell are we incapable of producing anything for ourselves anymore. It's getting depressing.

I think it's more about cost than  capability with multi national companies.

Share holder value is more important than local jobs etc.
