I know the fate of the Cb750 and Cb400F press bikes but I wonder what happened to the CB500F advert bike DHH 39L Not on DVLa register unfortunately. Not sure if this was the press bike too ..will check.

Me thinks that all the advert bikes were photographed in Japan. As all the sales literature would of been sent before the bikes.

Not so with 750K0 or CB250K0 but possibly for 500/4 as I don't have any original UK brochures for that bike. The 400/4 press bike was a European spec one and had the larger indicators JGC 606N.

Very nice James. Is it up for sale ?
-
:-) deal pending Graham although I'm still on the fence as to whether to hold onto her...
-
Was at the director of marketing house (Honda UK, bike division ) having a cuppa and he was telling me that there were two types of sales literature, one would of been for the dealership and another for sales. Most photos were done in Japan, even though some of the literature was printed in different country's.

I'd keep that one if I were you James, nice looking bike and in my opinion one of the best sohc fours. I've one similar with just over 5K miles and its by far the nicest one to ride that I've owned.

I too had a Lewis Leathers "Lightning" Fringed leather jacket. And a Bell Star helmet.
Never got on with the boots of the 70's though. They always leaked and the zips broke.
When I was at Uni and riding every day, I had a pair of "Derri Boots" - anyone remember them?
They were plactic wellies moulded to look like proper boots.

Still have a pair of Derriboots with the wool lining. Dug out a old Sidi jacket the other day. Boots still fit but, not the jacket :'(

-
Oh yes - had several pairs of Derriboots over the years I thought they were brilliant!
-
Nice Derriboots and, what I use today, Dunlop ;D
Opps, they are not Derri but, Zivanit boots from the late 80's early 90's.

yup,and still got them, not much worn now,as I pick and choose when I ride,
rain is not as much fun ,
but mainly ,hate the cleaning of the bike after a wet ride

I particularly like the lady at the back....commonly known as a 'Melon Smuggler'. It's nearly as embarrassing as my old school photos.....and I don't mean me on a plunger frame with girder forks.

Quite some research!
Over here we don't have any access to DMV related databases...
But in (older) titles all the previous owners were listed... thus some (like the ones of my CB500/4s ;D) do look like a regional phone book... ;)

I thought they were from outer space.
Well I always suspected Trig might be an alien but not Julie. Maybe her disguise is just better.
I have many disguises Ken, everything from a Nurse to a Range Rover dealer ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
How about lending some to Trig then Julie, maybe the nurses uniform would suit him.
I shudder to even contemplate the outcome of this one ....
Meanwhile I'm still wondering what a Range Rover dealer looks like.

I have often found Graham trying to get into one of my Nurses uniforms but, he's just too muscly in the wrong places for a good fit ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
And Chris, a Range Rover dealer is usually a slimy haired, cheap suited chap who slithers along the showroom floor to greet customers but in my case I was a smart suited business woman that could charm the birds out of the trees and get order forms signed with a smile. I had a reason to be nice to customers though, I owned the dealership ;) ;) ;)

I have this picture in my mind of Quentin Wilson in stilettoes and wig!
