Hi i am getting all the parts together, to build myself a set of electric starter rollers, for my CR750 lookalike, my knee is a bit dickie to keep kick starting, i have a new single phase motor, new block bearings, sprockets, chain etc, the framework is being welded together next month. what i want to do is fit a foot switch, to use to start it with, my question is how do i wire one into the system, can anyone give me a diagram of how to wire one up.

Hi Paul, nylon coating is when you heat the metal, and dip the part into a nylon powder, the nylon sticks to itself, like a sausage skin, if its damaged, water gets in and it swells up, where as powder coating is sprayed on and then heated up in a curing oven, this way the paint sticks to the metal. there is a chap in long eaton, MHP coatings, that do powder coating, and he gets all the parts blasted before coating, very reasonable prices as well, his number is 0115 9464496

Hi again, i have now got hold of a CB750 rear hub and sprocket carrier, hub is away being built into alloy flanged rim, what i dont have is a brake plate to match. can anyone tell me if the later brake plate, ie 1980 type with the extra ribbing on the back, i think they were fitted to the overhead cam models, will fit my earlier hub without any problems, as i can have one of these FOC, but dont want to accept it if it wont fit,

will the sprocket carrier on a cb750 sohc disc rear brake fit a drum rear brake? the reason i ask is i am trying to locate a drum rear wheel hub or complete rear wheel, without any success, so it looks like ebay, problem is nobody wants to sell a complete wheel, its a wheel, a brake plate, and a sprocket carrier, i have a carrier off my disc brake, so do i need to buy all three parts or will i get away with two.

Hi now i am building my CR750 lookalike, i have decided to remove the alternater, lights, warning lamps, winker relay, fuse box, indicators horn etc, the problem is,i would like to make a new wiring loom, does anyone have a wiring diagram, or know how to do it, i know i will want a on/off switch, starter button (as i intend to keep the electric start) with not having the alternator i wont need the regulator or rectifier, will i ? i will also need a main fuse somwhere in the system, if you know how to do it, can you scrible it on the back of a fag packet and post it up here, thanks.Tony.
