« on: January 15, 2021, 07:42:47 PM »
Hi, can anybody identify the brake disc below from the markings. It’s fitted to my Rickman and I need a replacement. Also, what model discs are interchangeable with the same offset from mounting face to disc surface. Thanks steve

Project Board / My Rickman CR750 Restoration
« on: February 13, 2019, 07:46:44 PM »
I started restoring the CR recently and plan to get it running before stripping it down.  Have so far got the electrics working (sparks still to be verified), spare set of carbs sorted, oil drained (no nasties in the oil), oil tank and sump off for clean, cam cover off and top end looks good.

I have not made much progress in the last couple of weeks as I have been playing with diy zinc plating and softening inlet rubbers with wintergreen oil and alcohol (looking good so far).  A few pictures from back in the day and how she looks now.  I will keep you posted.

Steve

CB750 / Oil pipes tank to engine
« on: January 30, 2019, 10:45:35 AM »
I am restoring a CB750 that has stood for many years. The oil tank contained oil so wasn’t left dry. Can anybody tell me if the oil pipes degrade internally over time if the oil is not circulating for long periods. I am assuming there is an internal rubber hose and I don’t want to find this is disintegrating and blocks the oil ways.

Thanks Steve

New Member Introductions / New to the group
« on: January 29, 2019, 05:43:14 PM »
Hi all, just joined the group as I have an affection for the CB750 SOHC.  I owned a K7 back in the 80s which got an 811 kit, cam, CMAs and various other mods and I still have some major parts from that bike.  I also bought in 1982 a Rickman CR750 which I still own and have just started to restore, hence joining this group.  The CR has been stood for about 29 years so needs a ground up resto. I am planning to get it running before a full strip and have started sorting carbs, electrics and lubrication system.

I live in Solihull in the west mids but hail from Essex originally. The CR shares space in the garage with an 02 Sprint ST 955 and a 73 Kawasaki H1D.  I look forward to chatting with you all and getting answers to those questions on the resto.

Cheers Steve
