I have found using stackable plastic storage boxes really useful. Tesco are the cheapest I have found.
Amazon, you can get 35 Chinese take away tubs with lids for about 8 quid, great for assemblies and you can write on them and easy to stack store.
Good for washing individual parts in small amounts of expensive cleaner too.

Take photos from every angle and take them and then take them again, you can’t have too many

Invaluable

I was quoted £140 by Philpots to hard chrome my old spindle so it was a no brainer to buy a stainless items from Max.
Think he charges £50+ p&p had one for the 400 and the 550, quality kit and made perfectly. Highly recommended

You want to hear it on cam with the baffles out, it’s monster!

Looking forward to another you but I’m trying to trade up to something nice like a VF1000R or in my wildest dreams, a new Africa twin 1100

Tell all yer friends please

Got a great bike for sale, it’s on eBay and the usual sites but thought I’d bob it on here just in case anybody fancies a really strong bike for sensible money.

Nah, 143mph sounds about right Dom. I take it you didn’t get it in ‘top’ then?

No not this time Roo, this was just through town on the back wheel.

I'm considering taking the carbs off do double check the float heights, jets are all clear and that I've set the bench sync to bottom out with the idle screw out, somethings not right to be running rich 2 1/4 turns out and have a idle that keeps rising with the throttle shut.

What do you think regarding the throttle linkage Roo?
Just got home tonight axon, I’ll have a look tommoz, found a bottle of Landlord in the fridge and well that was that!

Not sure how accurate it is but a good benchmark test when buying I guess.

It’s certainly an interesting one mate!

I applaud the finest scenery, stunning, neigh, exceptional roads and choice of boozer. I once got snowed in there for three nights back in my trudging about days, it’s was splendid and all had a marvellous time. It was a bit of a shame when the ploughs came really I could have stopped up there for ages

I think it’s something to do with the writing around the plug just under the nut bit.  Whether it’s there or not or summing.

If you can hang on I’ll find em and ship em up to you bud.
