Out & About / OUT AND ABOUT 2024

I’m on a cruise around Iceland (not on my bike).

I’ve seen two bikes in 10 days. Not really surprising given the climate and remoteness.

However, today we are in the fishing town of Vestmannaeyjar on the island of Heimar.

Wandering up a random backstreet I saw a Black Bomber on the back of a trailer, so wandered over to say hello.

Inside I found the Drullusokkar Motorcycle Club.

Also with these

And this

The owner proudly showed me his David Silver mug and catalogue from a few years back when he visited the UK.

He’s on FB (but I’m not), so go and give him a

Mine used to do that in third gear Mick.

It was a worn central dog in the gearbox.

Ted, take a look at www.chainmate.co.uk

This product was designed by a friend of mine to answer the question “how do I spray chainlube in my chain without getting it all over the back of my bike?”

He maintains that it’s not so much which chainlube you use as how often you use it and how effectively you apply it.

I designed and run his webshop so I know that our bikes don’t appear in his bike finder list, but it would be simple enough for him to add them.  He has adapted his products for Norton Commandos and (old) Tridents.

I don’t get anything from his sales, but he does pay hosting fees.

Steve.

I’ve been to Molde.

Those apartments by the harbour are really posh. I’ll bet they appreciated the plumes of particulates

I could increase the maximum size allowed. We have never busted the storage limit so I’m willing to risk it.

What size should I use?

RAW images from my son’s wedding in December ran to about 18Mb each (there were 600 of them).

I could raise it to 5Mb. Would that be enough?

Maybe not Ted, but I can’t find any helpful content posted by this guy which leads me to believe he signed up just to sell stuff.

If that’s the case, he should at least donate to the upkeep.

I've noticed quite a few Websites where phone numbers, actual postal address are missing as well as a lack of e-mail address.
Some that have them keep them well hidden it seems with lots of navigation needed.

Companies Act 2006.

If you are a limited company in the UK you must put (at least) your registered address on your website.

Only if someone complains Andy.

There’s nothing stopping people selling stuff on here.

If members find it useful then good…
