I replaced my rusted through seat with a pattern one, which didn't have the seat studs. Bought 13 studs which are now starting to rust. Is there anyone who can supply stainless ones? It would be easy enough for a skilled turnerist to convert an M8 bolt.
I keep asking Santa for a lathe but...

Here's some details for a nice little Myford for sale on ebay. It comes with a good selection of tools and books. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F113724440195

If I had a spare £200, I would.

If it could be got for that price it looks like a good buy to me.

Whoever buys the lathe, could you knock up 13 sear studs.

Bomber seats have the same studs .. I bought polished stainless steel dome head bolts from a guy who goes to Newark Autojumble and I think Stafford. They look really nice on Honda seats. I believe they are used on car bumpers. They have an M5 thread. The best type are the ones which don't have a square section at the bottom of the thread but even that type still works well. I think they were 60p ea. including the nuts and washers.
Not sure but this may be the guy who sells 'em

The carriage bolts might be an idea, although the M5 size might work

They work really well Mike, they come so brightly polished they look like chrome.... and the domed profile is about right too on the M5 version

That looks like a very useful place to buy nuts and bolts, including the metric fine 10mm used on our hondas
