I am currently playing around with a Xl125k2. Which has no engine.
But i have a Xl185 engine, which i will try to fit into the 125 frame.
But whilst comparing parts. I noticed the throttle slide in the 125 carb.
Is much larger than that in the 185 carb. This i found surprising.
Can anyone explain. Why the extra 60cc would need a smaller carb slide?

But its a match for Shiny orange. Its a flat orange, not flake or candy.
I dont even need it for a 550. But for a Xl125k2. I have acquired.

A mate of mine built a race replica, using s new grp tank. He left E5 petrol in the tank over winter. It was a mass of blisters up to the fuel line.
Tank ruined. E10 can only be worse.

I have used Villiers services in the past. Cant praise them enough!
They re-magnatised the rotor for my CB175. They did'nt even charge me!

I put progressive springs + 10w oil in my 750f1 forks. Do soft that set up was dreadful. Under heavy braking. The Midgard would lodge between the numbers 2 & 3 down pipes.
So I changed to 15w oil & put in 30mm preload spacers. Everything is grand now.

I'm sorry to ask but..
What bikes do you normally ride?
If you usually ride modern bikes, then the k1 will appear to be a slug.
50 yrs ago they was comparably fast. But now vastly over weight & woefully Under powered. US spec bars make things even worse.

The Invader was a very good, solid fairing. Good wind protection without being big & obtrusive. Certainly looked like part of the bike. Unlike the Oxford option.
