No connection to me but thought it may interest someone on here

Appears to have original exhaust system too! ;)

That's a nice looking bike......if I had the money and the room............. ::)
-
But surely good value at that price Ken?
-
It's supplied originally into UK plus original exhaust, if in good condition, that makes it more interesting to owners on forum I felt.
Given the availability and cost consideration of the exhaust for those wanting one, then that shifts the priority of interest I believe. Maybe of interest to buy and replace exhaust then resell as a means of getting the exhaust you want.

I must admit I'm tempted to buy it. I miss my old one.

It's weird how some people think. The tool kit is hidden in a section at the back of the seat, it was secured by Honda using 2 large wingnut type fittings. They've fitted 2 x 10mm nuts, so in the event you need to use the toolkit by the side of the road you can't because the tool you need to get to the toolkit is in the toolkit. Stupid.
Never noticed the handbook holder on the underside of the seat before, the 500 got it (but not the K0) and I'm wondering if that's been added.
Not far from me that bike, I'd love to buy it just so I could rip it to bits to fix all the little stuff I can see wrong on it. Tanks bloody rusty inside as well. Not a good sign.
I have seen this forsale before xmas. It had the correct speedo clock on it then and no gators , which i thought you would of spotted Ken ;) You must look past the bling ;D
You don't need a tool to access the tool compartment, just two wing nuts that can be undone by hand and yes, it has a owners handbook holder under the seat from the factory :o

On the toolkit cover issue; I had the same problem when I got mine, i.e. the cover was held in place with two 10mm nuts. I just replaced them for a couple of wing nuts which I think is what Graham was suggesting. I must admit though I didn't know the kit was there for a week or so after I bought the bike, I more or less found it by accident! Mine did have the owners manual holder under the seat too.
-
It took me ages to work out where the toolkit was in those photos. Spotted it now!
-
I understand what you meant now Ken ::) 10mm wing nuts will be too big on a M6 thread ;)
-
Looks like no 3 exhaust is bluing up. Don't like that, and are'nt they double skinned to avoid bluing - or is that a different bike I'm thinking of ?
Looks very nice though, surely going to go for more than £3500 ?
Terry.

I used to really pee off the students when they came to the stores asking for a 10mm bolt and id give them one
-
It went for £4101, good price. I was just about to bid even though I've just bought the red F2, I really wanted a blue one'76 as that was my first big bike.
At that price I'm sorry I didn't.
Just to confirm what you guys said, yes it did have wingnuts to hold the toolkit in and document holder under seat was indeed std.
-
I bid £4200, but had a tech problem and it didn’t go through.
Don’t beat yourself up, the red ones are miles faster.
-
Oh, and the blue one was top end rebuild only. If your Red un has had the full rebuild treatment there’s £600 to a grand right there.

Unlucky, you might have got it.
Haha, not so sure on red being faster...... I really like the saphire blue, as it's what I originally had. I might look out for another tank and side panels and have them painted, keeping the originals as they are.
Rode it home and after about 10 miles the memories came flooding back, it was as if I'd never been off one, amazing.
I'll give it a good looking over tomorrow if weather good.

Have you considered Menno Dek. I’m pretty sure he has a blue set for sale.

The guy who done my paint is only about 5 miles from you at Wrightington and made a really good job - I provided the paint and stripes. My tank was full of minor dents too. He's done all my bikes
Here's mine as an example

And Piki (member on here) does decals for your bike I think - this is him on ebay I think - but contact him direct for a price lower than ebay
