Greetings all. I have installed new throttle cables on my 750 K7 but I find that when the securing nuts on the guide pipes at the handlebar end are fully tightened, the rearmost one (has a little flange on the inner part) still has some slack in it meaning that the guide pipe can wiggle around. I have been reluctant to apply much force as the alloy of the swithc housing is notoriously weak. Am I missing something? If anyone can enlighten me that would be great.
Thanks

Cheap and nasty aftermarket cables.
You could cut a slot in an aluminium washer and place it on the end of the flange then tighten up the nut.
That worked for me.
Good luck

Thanks for the tip which sound like a solution. The cables came from David Silver!
All best

Hi again. What was the thickness of the washer you used?
Thanks

I used a 1.5mm thick washer, but back then my cable came from Hi-level.
It's since been replaced by a Dave Silvers cable which actually fits fine without needing the washer!
Good luck
