Title: OK I give up ... how do you insert an image in a PM?

If I try to insert image in PM   .. I just get (http://) but no prompt to link or drop image in?

Any ideas? SteveD?

I don't think you can. I've tried in the past.

Easier to e-mail especially if members enter e-mail address & or mobile number on members details

Or upload the image to a free hosting site like Imgur.....and just add the link to the PM

Tried emailing but the email address was wrong......bunged image in my Dropbox and member couldn't read the linked file.

My main point is that there is function to insert an image but it doesn't appear to work.

I've tried to do this a few times, failed and gave up. I think I read in another thread somewhere that it can't be done?

Steve did once tell me it can't be done. That was a long time ago though.

Sorry. Been offline for a couple of days.
Wedding anniversary. Full house.

This has never worked, nor been explained by the SMF tech people.
The forum software is fairly “mature”. I’ve used it since 2007 and it hasn’t changed much.

Maybe time to give them a poke and find out why.
