Just an introduction,
I have been riding since the early 70's and my current rides are a Suzuki VStom 650,
Honda CB 350 k2 1970,which I restored a few years ago and I am just finishing off a restoration of a CB500 K2 1973 in Sunrise Flake Orange. great colour.

Great riding roads around Bigger, especially th A701 to Moffat.

Yes a good run. I like to follow the A708 from Moffatt past St Marys Loch then turn off towards Megget Reservoir back to the A701. Lots of bikes in the summer.

And a very warm welcome from an exiled Yorkshireman, saving up to be a Scotsman,  enjoying life in Orkney but do get down your way when time and weather permits.

Warm welcome to this great forum from another Orkney resident (me and Orcade-Ian) lovely part of the country you are in, but as long as the ferry sails we can hit the mainland too 😄😄 Remember if you ever head up this way give us a shout and we can put faces to names, and that goes for everybody else on this forum too.😜

I've got a NOS CB550F side panel in Flake Sunrise Orange, when new the paint is really bright, really OTT on the metallic flakes TBH. Has yours faded or is it still dazzling?

Welcome to the forum. Scotland is a beautiful place with fantastic roads and scenery. I'm hoping to go up to Glasgow in the spring to collect my Jota.

Welcome - clearly the stereotype of a Scotsman can't be true as there are far too any members here from north of the border who own Honda moneypits!

Seriously though welcome to our community not sure of the membership  demographics but it appears that Wales or NI might be under represented only our esteemed Moderator (no pun intended)  would know.

Is it not Yorkshire men as well Ted? In fact did they not say that if a 50p dropped from a Yorkshireman’s hand it would strike him on the back of the head when he tried to pick it up. 😂😂

Roo doesn't have 50p pieces anyway, he only carries 10p coins as they give him the feeling he's rich.

I'm with you Roo, the only good thing that ever came out of Lancashire was the road back to Yorkshire 🤓
Maybe Eccles cakes and Parkin too!

You forgot me Ian, I’ve come out of Lancashire, in fact I’m one of their best exports. Whereas Roo was deported from Yorkshire for being too tight even for a Yorkshireman.
